For Henry McFadden, this year offered more than a few of those moments, from team spirit in full force to the satisfaction of seeing TFN’s impact across Southern Africa’s roads. His reflections capture the heart of our culture: driven, supportive and always moving forward together.

Where Culture Comes Alive

One moment that truly stood out for him was Staff Appreciation Month, a period where the entire TFN family came together in a way that felt effortless and genuine. Whether it was the friendly rivalry of the potjie kos competition or the energy of the soccer day, he says the unity across departments was something special to witness.

It wasn’t just fun, it was a reminder of what makes TFN different. A place where people work hard, support one another and take pride in building something meaningful.

He also recalls the impact of our “Power Hour” initiative. With teams dedicating focused time each day to key priorities, the results have been clear: improved customer service, stronger operational performance and significant growth in litres over the past three months. It was a simple shift that demonstrated how much can be achieved when everyone is aligned.

A Moment of Realisation

But the moment that struck him most came from something far less expected: a statistic shared by Oom Stevie, TFN’s founder. Hearing him talk about how much TFN’s on-road commercial volumes have grown over the years was a defining moment for me.

“It’s a massive achievement,” he says. “How could one not want to be part of this?”
 For him, it reaffirmed exactly why he is here, part of a growing company reshaping the fuel and transport landscape.

Innovation That Moves the Industry

Looking ahead, he speaks with real excitement about TFN’s technology, particularly our FuelAi, our AI-driven fleet controller. For him, the value is clear: giving transporters better route choices, clearer refuelling points, reduced admin and the ability to optimise their profit margins. Tools like these, he believes, will define the future of transport. “Our solutions are practical, powerful and directly shaped around the needs of fleet owners,” he shares.

He has also seen first-hand how TFN’s data and systems change the game for suppliers. By giving them clear insights into route behaviour, market shifts and litre movement, they’re able to make better decisions and plan ahead with confidence. TFN’s risk-free, low-admin model has even encouraged some suppliers to send new customer leads directly to us, simply because the partnership works better than doing it alone.

Growing with the Journey

This year hasn’t only shaped his view of TFN, it has shaped him too. 2025 has been fast-paced, challenging and rewarding, and it has shown him that he thrives in high-pressure environments. He’s learned that his potential is not fixed: “the ceiling is where I decide it to be.”

And as TFN is one of the fastest-growing companies in Africa, with new products launching over the next 12 months, he is proud to be part of the journey.
