In this article we will explore what can be achieved via an API integration. TFN have many years of integration experience and have helped over 130 customers integrate their solutions. In future articles we may cover some of these case studies to further highlight the benefits of a deep integration with TFN.
The TFN API suite is designed to expose the TFN service as an alternative interface and thus it exposes functionality that is similar to the app based TFN tools and services. If there is ever a feature your team needs exposed that is not yet available via the API, please reach out to us. Our APIs become more feature rich as features are requested by our customers.
The TFN API can be used to
- Import financial information into your accounting and operating systems. TFN allows for the periodic import of financial information, removing the need for recapture of financial information or manual statement imports into your financial systems. A real time notification pattern is also available which can enable time sensitive operational processes in your business.
- Synchronise driver and fleet details with TFN’s system. With the fleet management API, it is possible for your systems to be the source for vehicle and driver information (which are both required for purchasing services on the TFN network)
- Place and manage fuel orders. Using TFN’s orders API it is possible to integrate and centralise refuelling management in your own systems. TFN’s orders API allows for the retrieval, creation and modification of fuel and non fuel orders.
- Receive product pricing and TFN’s depot details to integrate with your operational tools and optimisation tools. TFN’s fuel network and your pricing are available to support refuelling optimisation and other organisational financial management features your systems may have.
- Manage child account financials. For customers utilising TFN’s white labelled service provider capability, the API supports managing
