Let’s talk tyres. Not the flashiest topic, I know but here’s the thing: something as simple (and often overlooked) as tyre pressure could be eating into your fuel spend without you even realising it.
You’ve got routes to cover, loads to deliver, deadlines that don’t budge, and budgets that definitely can’t take a beating. But if your tyres aren’t holding the right amount of air, your vehicle could be working harder than it needs to. And in transport, "working harder" usually translates into "burning more diesel."

If you’re in the transport game, you’re probably keeping a close eye on any news coming from the Treasury. On 12th March 2025, the Minister of Finance made some announcements that could affect your fuel costs. While the overall Fuel Levy on petrol and diesel remains unchanged at 396.00 c/l and 384.00 c/l respectively, there’s a slight shift in one key area that could have a notable impact. The carbon fuel levy, which is an important part of the mix, will increase by 3.00 c/l. This brings the new carbon fuel levy to 14c/l on petrol and 17c/l on diesel.
